WELCOME TO ENTSYOYANEREN'NE SECONDARY SCHOOL
En-joe-yaw-nay-ren’-neh
Entsyoyaneren'ne Secondary School is located on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement, a treaty made between Indigenous Nations to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes in peace.

This acknowledgement is more than a statement for us. Our school’s name, “Entsyoyaneren'ne,” comes from Kanien’kéha (the Mohawk language) and was shared with us in partnership with our Indigenous co-founders. It carries the meaning “there will be hope,” a reminder that our work is to help every student see possibility in their future. We commit to learning from Indigenous knowledge, building respectful relationships, and creating a space where truth and reconciliation are part of our everyday actions.

Our Name
"Entsyoyaneren'ne” comes from Kanien’kéha (the Mohawk language), spoken by the Kanien’kehá:ka people, one of the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. While not a direct translation, it is most closely understood as “there will be hope.” The name was chosen in collaboration with our Indigenous partners and honours both the student whose journey inspired this school and our shared commitment to building a future full of possibility for every learner.
Our Story
Our school exists because of one family’s search for the right fit.
Their son had always done well when the right supports were in place. Over time, those supports changed, and it became clear he needed a different environment to continue thriving. When the family moved him to a small private school, they saw a remarkable transformation. His confidence grew, his skills advanced, and he reconnected with learning.
That experience inspired the vision for Entsyoyaneren'ne Secondary School: a place where every student is supported, engaged, and challenged to reach their potential.

Our Approach

At Entsyoyaneren'ne Secondary School, every student’s path is unique. We take the time to understand their needs, strengths, and goals, then create a learning plan that fits. Our approach blends evidence-based education with a strong connection to community and culture. The result is a school experience that builds skills, confidence, and belonging, and prepares students for whatever comes next.
